The Letterman Show Writers’ Strike

Above you can see the dire effects the writers’ strike is having on a Late Night show like Letterman. That’s at least #498 on my list of Top 10 things we’ll be missing without TV.

Family Guy Writers’ Strike

Seth’s original idea was to protest at a wacky location like a Wal-Mart in Wichita, Kansas while juggling.

Blue Collar TV Writers’ Strike

Things aren’t smelling too good over ‘dere at the gosh darn Blue Collar show.

Despite the efforts, unity, and general upbeat-i-ness of Hollywood writers’ as seen above, the strike had an unfortunate beginning on Monday when a writer for the Spike Feresten show was hit by a sedan trying to cross the picket line on Sunset Boulevard. Hollywood insiders are split on the incident–some asking, “Who is Spike Feresten?” and others asking: “Does he really have writers on that show? I couldn’t tell.”

Two Drunks

Two Englishmen are sitting at a bar and become quite tipsy. One turns to the other and says, “Oy, where are you from?”

The second man answers, “I’m from Liverpool.”

The first man, surprised, replies, “No way! I’m from Liverpool, too! What high school did you go to?”

The second man answers, “St. Mary’s.”

Want to party like it’s 1998? Now, you can relive the magic of the final Seinfeld season on DVD, back when sitcoms were still funny and gasoline was only $1.22 a gallon.

Unless you are comic book guy from the Simpsons, you can’t possibly remember all of the episodes that were in Season 9. Here are some of our favorites:

1) The Voice: Jerry’s girlfriend’s stomach won’t shut the hell up. Jerry makes up a voice for it. Helloooooooooooo! Kramer has hired a NYU intern to assist him in everyday tasks at Kramerica Incorporated.
2) The Frogger: George is forced to buy the Frogger arcade machine from a pizzeria he frequented as a child to save it. He tries to take the machine across the street frogger-style, but fails.
3) Two Part Finale: And we can’t forget the two part finale where Jerry, George, Kramer, and Elaine are sentenced to one year in prison. It’s 8 years later! Aren’t they up for parole yet?!

Did you know? The last conversation of the finale is the same conversation as the very first show. The whole show comes full circle. Jerry: “The second button is the key button. It literally makes or breaks the shirt.”
