The Comebacks is a tribute to all sports movies out there in the way that Scary Movie is a tribute to Friday the 13th. It parodies all your stereotypical sport movie heroes:
- The washed up coach
- The nerdy wannabe
- The girl
- The rapper, model, agent, clothing designer, football player guy
- The fat guy
And of course…
- The other hotter girl
From the look of the trailer, the coach is quite the alcoholic. If only he could turn that dedication to drink into dedication towards a worthy cause. Well, fortunately for the washed up coach he’s put in with just the right group of rag-tag misfits to help win them the gold medal, ribbon, trophy, or whatever else you get for winning in college football.
